Message from Pat

Thanks to the wonderful support my campaign has received from family, friends and the Southern Arizona community, we filed 730 nomination petition signatures with the Arizona Secretary of State on May 12, 2008, along with 275 Clean Elections $5 qualifying contributions. I am now officially a Clean Elections Participating candidate for State Representative in LD-25.

Our campaign has gone on a listening tour. We have traveled to various organizational meetings and gatherings in four of the five counties within our District. The issues I have heard are wide ranging yet similar, much like the district I want to represent.

• The economy and the state’s budget problems are the concerns I hear most often.
• Arizonans want affordable health care for themselves and their families.
• Families demand quality education from their schools, in school districts that recognize teachers and support staff for the professionals they are.
• Respect for and preservation of our environment are high on many people's lists, especially from living in our rural communities.
• Business owners want their right to prosper encouraged and protected.
• Arizonans want to feel safe in their homes and in the workplace.

Arizona is a great state, and at a times like this, we must look for positive solutions to the problems confronting us.
